The Ash Heap Of Good Intentions

I don’t find anything compassionate about policies that predictably bring about a skyrocketing cost of living, a plummeting standard of living, high unemployment, liberty-snuffing regulations, shortages, waiting lists, rationing, diminishing accountability from government, disregard for the rule of law, bureaucratic indifference, encouraging dependency on government handouts…

…or manipulating people’s emotions over entitlement programs on a collision course with a fiscal iceberg no one wants to acknowledge on the horizon.

That’s the ‘compassion’ those ideas inevitably lead to: The empty promises of an unachievable Utopia.
