Homemade FAKE Criterion Of The Week

I last tried to sit through this one around 1995. Rented it on VHS from Blockbuster. A very dry, grim, sluggishly paced historical drama, with a death scene for Trotsky that’s made quite a few Worst Ever lists since its release. I think the film was made available on DVD in recent years and I wouldn’t mind giving it another go, but not for more than ten bucks, used.

I do own the score by Egisto Macchi, however, and it’s really nice and creepy, if you enjoy that sort of film score. Let’s see how long the You Tube link lasts:
