The trial should've been open and shut, but turned out to be quite the mess. At least Bulger, cold-blooded killer that he was, rightfully wound up behind bars for the rest of his life. And now, the rest of his life has arrived at its conclusion.
Saturday Night Fever is not a polite movie. Or a feel-good buffet of sunny escapism. It's a frequently gritty slice-of-life character drama, stocked with complicated characters, illustrating some hard, uncomfortable truths.
Not sure why I didn’t think to put this calendar together earlier in the month, but here it is: My personal film favorites in the Horror genre for the month of October.
For the purpose of winnowing down my list, I tried to stick with the supernatural, while avoiding the inclusion of zombies (unless they were supernaturally inspired), slashers (with two obvious exceptions, as you’ll see), animals run amok, or anything with a hint of science fiction to it. I also tried to include as many lesser-known titles as possible.
